In his moral he is absolutely of this world , very pragmatic in his approach . These essays are full of worldy wisdom . Francis Bacon has tried to show to us how to succed in this life and world . His essays are mainly concerned with the art of success and how to achieve it . He points us to play the special part in life , as is indicated in the subtitles of this book . In these essay he does not talk about unimportant things . He does not write about everything . In most of these essays he is talking about ethical conduct and political affairs . He offers his advice but a very practical and oppurtinistic one . He does not aspire to high moral . He writes about men as they are not as the should be . These are historical essays in the sense that these were written for particular kind of people , people at the helm of affairs . But most of what he says in his essays have relevance to every man who wants to make good in his life , one way or the other . Bacon's essays are full of profound observations , insight to human experiences and precise compact sentences loaded with meaning and intellect .
