This book is written about the bad behaviours with hindu minority communities by muslims majority.Bangaladesh is a country close to India.This was a part of pakistan until 1971.with the indian help this got independence.In this country there are about 15% hindus and rests are muslims.writer of shame writes that hindus are in very bad position in this country.They feel always trouble by mojorities.government of this country did not want to take any action against these people.many hindus were killed.They often flewed india to protect themselves.media in this country also not capable to make it a issue.According to writer media also play a role of orthodox in this country.This country is still very backward.this is a very good book if any one want to know the condition of minorities in this country.this is a story of suranjan .He is a citizen of bangladesh related to minority community.in a riot he feels trouble.A lot of temples(a hindu worshipping place)are burned by muslims.properties are looted and even girls are raped.These are the scenes of heartbreaking events that is shameful for any country.suranjan feels himself guilty to born in this country.But he is very brave and despite these problems he decide to stay in this country .He face a lot of problems.The best thing is with this novel that this is written by a muslim woman.some muslims orthodox
which are known as ulema has made prize if anyone kills her.she is living now outside her country due to danger of her life in bangladesh.Everybody must read it if they want to know about muslims cruelity with minority communities in this part of the world.so bravely she writes about the fact.she is a marvellous writer free from any fear and a real bold. Her writing is with data of minority population.This is really exciting novel and there are few in this world so fearless in writing and she inspired us to be fearful and alwas fight for other rights .do you want to read this novel .I think defnitely.when i read this i surprised that this kind of fearless writer is present.so I am totally inspired by this lady writer .Who read this book impressed every one.
