Percy Jackson And The Titan''s Curse
(Rick Riordan)

Publicidade
This time around, we don''t hear about Percy''s school. Instead he, along with friends Annabeth, Thalia and Grover, is off to rescue a pair of demigods from their - literally - monstrous headmaster.
The rescue operation doesn''t turn out to well when evil Dr Thorn disappears with Annabeth. A few days later news comes to Camp Half-Blood that the goddess Artemis has also disappeared. Soon enough, Percy is setting off on a quest to save both Annabeth and Artemis. Tension among the questors is high as Artemis'' lieutenant, Zoe Nightshade won''t have anything to do with boys - and especially not Percy - and Thalia simply can''t stand Zoe.
Added to this the questors meet Ares - still holding a grudge against Percy - and Aphrodite. Aphrodite is quite determined that Percy is on this quest purely to save his beloved, Annabeth (although he was thinking more along the terms of good friends). She assures him that his quest will be far from boring.
The book explores the theme of loyalty and betrayal. Some characters build up trust, while others lose the little they had.
I enjoyed reading Titan''s Curse, but I don''t think it quite measures up to the standard of Riordan''s previous books. I, at least, missed Annabeth and her level-headedness. I am still eagerly awaiting the fourth of the series.
Happy Reading!
