Lovers & Players
(Jackie Collins)
Ok, so I just finished reading Jackie Collins, "Lovers & Players". I think that I first read one of her intriguing novels five or even six years ago. I was absolutely ecstatic to see one in a Walgreens because I desperately needed something to read and didn''t want to make another trip. Getting back to the topic at hand, I loved it! The way she weaves each individual live into that of the complementing characters is extraordinary. I couldn''t put the book done, I believe I finished reading it in 3 days. All of the characters lead separate lives, in separate parts of the world and in 7 days they all end up in the same place and learn they all are biologically and socially related. The plot grabbed me from the first page. Who wouldn''t want to read about power Players money and sex stories? I wouldn''t know!
You meet three handsome sons born to a wealthy greedy fool who verbally and physically abused them. You learn how they perservered to become rich themselves and prove their father wrong. You are introduced to the women in their lives and see how wrong they are for them, yet you understand why they chose them. I really don''t know what else to say. If you wanna read a story about power, money, sloppy seconds that actually works, then read it. If not, miss out!
