The history is the one of an adultery that doesn''t finish bad nor takes to the guilty to the perdición (like in Madame Bovary or Anna Karenina) but that reaffirms in its bet by the authenticity and the sensuality to them. Connie, rich and anxious young person of vital and cultural experiences, house with a member of the most modest nobility, Clifford Chatterly, that will turn out seriously wounded in the Great War so that the impotence has left the condemned and to pass the rest of its days in a wheelchair. As it includes/understands the situation of his wife, Clifford insinua to Connie that does not bother to him that it takes some lover while keeps the appearances. It has an adventure with somebody of her circle of friends, but she is to him dissapointing. Nevertheless, shortly after it knows in one his strolls the foresters of the property of his husband, ex- called blacksmith Mellors, of robust appearance and of closed dialectal speech, and one feels strongly attracted by him. Little by little, Connie leaves to its husband the care of meticulous Bolton nurse and begins to frequent the isolated cabin where it lives the foresters, single since it separated of his wife. It does not take in arriving his estridente sexual encounter, described with all luck of details (what it will cause that the novel remains several decades prohibited in England and the United States), that will take step to a better knowledge of the reality of both. Mellors turns out to be less robust from which it seems: ex- culturizado enough military man and, declares itself apostatized of the conventions and social servitudes and says to feel incapable to climb in the world by not knowing how to accept it. The romance continues privily (only the nurse discovers it, although he does not tell it to anybody) until the woman is pregnant. As Connie knows that Clifford is able to accept that it has a son while is of a lover of their class, it decides to take advantage of a trip to Venice to simulate that it has an affair and power there to have the son without having to say who is the father. The complica plan when the wife of Mellors returns next to him with the intention to resume the marriage and to the rejected being is begun to air the sexual libertinism who apparently always has shown the foresters, including, although only for a reason or purpose of suspicion, its recent relation with lady Chatterley. Clifford dismisses Mellors, even without believing that rumor and only by escando produced it and the pride whereupon the foresters it behaves before him. Connie, that has the intention to go away to live with Mellors, appears before its husband to say to him that she is pregnant woman, although simulating who the father is a well-known of the family. In the discussion that the news causes, Connie cannot avoid to reveal the authentic author of the pregnancy and all his history of love with him. Clifford feels asequeado to hear that it has been possible to roll with a vulgar servant and assures to him that only to annoy it, never will give the divorce him. After speaking with the nurse and requesting to him that it maintains it informed into any change in the attitude of Clifford, Connie goes away of house with the perspective to live with Mellors in a near future, when the things are clarified.
