This is a great book about an 11 year old boy who is a misfit not only at home but at school. When his summer plans seem to disappear, he finds himself invited to a special summer camp. The adventure begins on the way to camp and doesn''t let up throughout the book! The kids not only have some summer time camp antics but are also confronted with wolfjackals who don''t appear to be of this world. At camp the kids are exposed to the magic within themselves and how to control it for good. It''s a classic good vs. evil story. Are the camp kids our only hope to vanquish the evil ones? My nine year old daughter, a major Harry Potter fan, thinks this book is great! I had a hard time putting it down! Of course the ending leaves you hungry for the sequel!
