Martha's brother Stan visits White Water to find out that the family needs him badly.He decides to move to White Water and buys a house, prior of finding out that Dean his nephew who was struggling with his sexuality is gay along with most of Dean's friends that he tried to keep in the closet from.Dean confesses to his mom that he's gay and she tries understanding because of her strong love for her sons and help from her brother Stan.Stan trying to open his sisters? eyes about her husband Greg as Stan meets the love of his life Annie. Annie already involved with a dangerous man in town Ted, who makes her brake off her engagement with Stan as she agreed then realizes she can?t. Annie fights back to find that the love of her life, Martha's brother Stan was found the next morning in his house that had been burnt to the ground.Annie has to finish what she and Ted started.Dean dreading to tell the truth of his sexuality to his dad for fear of disappointing him and avoids doing so. When he meets a blond young man whose car has broken down, he falls in love almost immediately.The two meet again face to face at Dean's best friend Mark's pool party, where they agree to get together to watch a movie. Despite the warnings from another friend Bruce that this young blond guy named Todd is ?damaged goods,? Dean wishes to pursue a relationship. He begins to hear conflicting stories about Todd, who was rapped and beaten by a man a few years prior up on Marist Mountain. Some say it was three men, which he was kidnapped, and Todd says it was only one man that he accompanied him from the gym on a hiking trip.Dean promises to be there for Todd and to be willing to listen. In the mean time with fear of telling his father Dean finds his farther Greg and his best friend Mike are actually lovers, but Dean thinks at first that his mom and Mike are together behind his fathers back.Dean and Todd become very close and Dean moves in, as Annie comes back to town who Dean finds that she is Todd's sister and her plan with her dangerous friend ?Ted,? start back to their plans on getting rid of her brother Todd because of his homosexual preferences.Greg and Martha struggle because of her finding out about Mike and himself indulging in a sexual affair. Greg gets rough with Martha and has to get rid of her body. He puts her into a abandoned well in the woods behind their house until Mike discovers days later that Martha isn?t dead but now dying.Annie helps Ted kidnap Todd to rid him of his life because her brother was homosexual. Annie plots with Ted and explains to Dean that Todd was not whom he thought he was and that Todd was using him to get over with his fear of being so alone, and that Todd moved back to the town he was born for a new start.Dean?s brothers Jake and Rick come to town in hopes of helping Dean find their mother as one of the boys find her as Mike confessed to Jake that Annie and Ted where plotting to kill Todd still and he had no involvement. Before he can tell Dean or anyone the news he was shot in the head and hospitalized as Dean left town in despair.Steve who is best friends with Mark as Mark is the boy toy of the internet life meeting strangers for sex as Steve silently has been in love with Mark for many years but afraid to ruin their friendship. Mark gets serious about one guy named Chad who comes into Mark's life as Steve grows jealous and untrusting finds out the truth about Chad but afraid to confront Mark because of the new found happiness in his best friends? eyes.Mark finds out he has been with another guy who died with aids as he gets tested to learn that he too has the deadly virus. Mark tries taking his life as Steve walks in to try an save him as he confronts his feeling about how much and how long he has loved him, only to find Mark has felt the same.Mark finds out later that Steve kept a secret from him that would have prevented him catching the virus then blames Steve as Steve seeks consoling with his friend Jim whim into modeling in New York. Steve still trying to get over Mark as Mark tries to move on by being brainwashed from his HIV doctor Reggie.Reggie keeps the two apart as Steve meets Kirby another model and tries to move on. Although Kirby and Reggie keep the two apart as time goes on Steve and Mark finally find one another and realizes the disseat the two have been through.Reggie backed off for now although Kirby comes to White Water to rid himself of Mark as he rigs a dirt bike that Steve and Mark had bought. Kirby watched from a distance so he could run into the arms of Steve.
