Kambar was a great poet in Tamil History. His writings are still very grand and lovely to be admired by any one, The poems tell about a King named Raman who suffered a lotbecause he obeyed his father"s wish, The step mpther wanted her son to become the King and as the King had already promised her to do asper her wish , she used the chance to sent Raman to the forest. But the son of her named Bharathan loved his brother so much so that he went with Raman to the forest. After a long arguement he agreed to take his bother"s chappals with him and placed it on the throne and ruled the kingdom till Raman returns, Here the poet describes the two brothers , and we can not come to a decision whose love is more. After fourteen years Raman returned from the forest, the people in the kingdom wondered when seeing the brothers who had gone thinner , Is it Raman or Bharathan? The love of the brothers were woderfully told in the Kambaramayana. Kambaramayana had more than 6000 songs. They are about, Raman"s father his kingdom, Raman"s wedding with Seetha, going tro forest with Seetha nad another brother Lakshmana, a demon king called Ravana who took Seetha with him, at last with the help of animals and by his courage Rama won back Seetha.. every thing were in the songs. And it is in the Tamil literature. The poet tells in his songs , the beaty and the life of the kingdom Ayothi, Seetha and Raman"s wedding , the affectionate father"s death, the obedient son:s actions, the love between the three brothers, though Ravanan is a villain, his great qualities, the nimals (monkeys) love and loyalty towards Raman, their help. Seetha"s tears and sorrow, are wonderfully told in these poems. Atlast Raman killed Ravana and returned back to his place with his wife Seetha and his brother Lakshmanan . The people in the kingdom and his brother Bharathan were rejoicing and Raman accepted the throne and became the king.
