Powers Of Our Mind (we Are Greater Than We Think We Are)
(Arun "Yogi" Parekh)

Publicidade
The most important part of a human being, is his mind. Most of us are not even not aware of its vast potential. Generally we underestimate it, & utilize a small fraction of the capability of our mind. Many of the happenings in our life, can be controlled by the thinking of our mind. We should not have negative thinking, & should not take it for granted that, all things will happen in their own way. In six Chapters of this book, the writer discusses the various aspects of this subject, including important qualities & keys required for success, e.g. Patience, Persistence, Personal detachment, Keen desire, Positive attitude, Success consciousness, & various techniques like Thought projection, Thought reception, Telepathic communication, Distant healing, Mental Solitude etc.
In one of the important Chapters, the writer has discussed about Mental Solitude, wherein we sit voluntarily alone, in silence without disturbance. It is a state of our keeping silence, withdrawing from outside world & going inside ourselves, to connect to our inner self. It gives us relaxation, freshness, calmness, peace & strength, & makes us understand life better, to make better judgments & to take right decisions. Since it gives rest to our mind, it will work better & longer for us. By learning to live in mental silence, we can learn to live a life of positive attitude, better concentration, good thinking, good health & good relationships. Uncertainties & unpleasant situations & events, cause stress & affect all areas of our life. Mental Solitude can best be attained by Meditation, Prayer, Self-examination & Study of scriptures. There are several versions of Meditation, but the writer has given two variants. In, Meditation-on-breathing, we sit comfortably, close our eyes & then focus on our breath going in & out, & even counting it, to keep focused on it, & also to avoid likely occurrence of sleep during this period. In Meditation-on-music, we focus on some particular music which we like, & then the same steps as above are taken. Other methods in this line, are Reading of scriptures especially at bed time, doing Self-examination at the end of the day, & mentally recalling all daily major events, & our behaviour, attitude & decisions, & performing daily prayers for a few minutes & communicating with our creator GOD.
This abstract writer has been practicing Transcendental Meditation, as propounded by Maharishi Yogi for many years, & he would like to say to the readers that, the regular practice of Meditation brings lot of benefits to us, including stress relief. This book is useful for our fulfillment & inspiration, for improving our personal development, health, relationships & the overall life, in general.
