Ps: I Love You
(Cecilia Ahern)

Publicidade
"PS: I love you? is a typical romantic story which shows how to handle difficult moments and strokes in life. That´s what the ?Kölner Stadanzeiger wrote after the publication from the german version in 2004.At twentyone, Cecilia Ahern, who got her degree in Journalismn and Media communications before, wrotes the story of ?PS.I love you?.
The story is filled by emotions, that´s the reason why the reader gets really into the leading character of Holly, a woman in the age of 30 who lost her husband. After his death by cancer, she creates her own world and stays at home for weeks. Finally one of her best friends can motify her to go out of the door and to try to get back to normal life. This is the beginning of an emotional charged story, where Holly finds a way to take leave of her husband Gerry. She gets a letter, Gerry wrote before he died with different duties for the coming nine month to get her use to live without him and take him in her mind.Together with her two best friends and her family she comes back into life which configurate challanging. Holly has to see that life is going on and nobody excepting her stays hush like she´s doing. By this she gets into different moods which are paraphrased very well by Cecilia Ahern.
The book combines many different problems in a womens life and espacially a lot of things we can emagine, going on if we lose somebody important in our life. To have a complete story we need a new love and the difficulties arround to allow this after Gerry´s death. In between al of her job and life problems she gets to know a new good friend and gets confused if she likes him more than that? The plot and the two subplots are fall into place very well. All three have an own story, the letters and the farewell from her dead husband, her approximatelly new love and her learning process what life is about and how life is going on, but at the end everything fits together.Fascinating is that the author of the book, Cecilia Ahern, has been really young when she wrotes this book. It is amazing that she has been enable to get her mind into such a situation, to give an almost realistic idea of the story and how it could be if someone you are closed to dies. Moreover it seems to be amazing to make a story like this that never happened. It is just a fictioned thing she had in her mind and personally I have to mention that it seemed to be a real storie before I got to know that it is non-realistic.
The end of this book is aswell typical for a lovestorie. Everyone finds a way to handle the death of the good friend or husband Gerry and gets back to life.Holly gets back to life in total aswell and gets the challenge of a new love wich is mentioned in the last moment reading the book.Conclusionally I can advise this book to everyone who likes to read lovestories.
