I devoured this book! Focussing on what it is to be a woman, this book made me laugh, cry and understand myself in a way i never have before. Not only that but it left me being able to identify with other women again in a way i never did before.
The Eldredges paint a picture of 'woman' starting at the beginning... how we were created, why we were created and why we never quite feel we're enough for the world. The big questions we all secretly ask ourselve, where those deep longings come from, how our childhood relationships affect us are all very grippingly and sensitively covered.
The authours' discernment in understanding theaffect their book will have on it's readers is shown in thesensitive way thechapters are concluded.
I will take away the knowledge that there a lot of things i think and feel that i was alone in. Having discussed the book with other people who have read it, we have realised we all feel these things and the relief that comes with this realisation was light a weight being lifted.
And what about men? Well, not only did this book help me to understand women but men too. I would reccommend that this wasn't a book just for the ladies but if there are men out there who don't understand women (are there any?) this book will open your eyes.
