Blue Bloods. A band? An Aristrocracy? No, It is a book. This story is set in Manhatten, one of the five boroughs in New York City, New York, it's characters America's and New York's aristocrats. They are the Blue Bloods. Named so for the fact that they have blue Blood and are vampires. But wait, before you think this is some lame science fiction or raggedy tale written by a cheap-shot author, then think again. It's not. A carefually written tale of drama, horror, and suspense, with a teensy bit of love, it tells the story of some wealthy, attractive teenagers trying to uncover a mystery. Blue bloods are a mysterious race of humans according to the story, consisting of former angels from the judeo-christian version of heaven, who were cast down after lucifer's downfall to roam the earth and earn their way back into heaven. Being "creatures of light", and former angels, they are naturally considered very attractive, and very wealthy. The blue bloods were around since the beginnings of time, and were always aristocrats. They are special in many ways. They are semi-immortal, since they can only die at age 100, and are reincarnated over and over again until they fullfil their duty. They tend to marry only other bluebloods, even their siblings, to keep money and looks in the family. Well, Now I must explain the rest of the story. There's a girl named Schuyler Van Allen, Who goes to Duchesne Academy, a private school for the rich and priviledged, though this is what she is not. Her grandmother, a blue blood, thought she doens't know about this quite yet, is losing the family fortune. Schuyler, an outcast, and social pariah at the school because of this, made friends with Oliver, also a lesser priviledged one and outcast. Soon, Schuyler, learns she is half blue blood, her father a regular human (called a red blood) and her mother a blue blood. To add to this, her grandmother is also a blue blood. Soon, strange blue markings occur on Schuyler's arms. Meanwhile, a fellow classmate, Bliss Llewellyn, also learns she is a blue blood, after having the same blue veins on her arms, and strange recollections, and cravings for raw meat. And blood. However, soon, to add to this, a new danger is approaching. Young vampires go through a thing called the sunset years, when they are young and vunerable to silver bloods, vampires who prey on other vampires. Eventually, 3 young vampires are killed because of "full consumption" when all the blood is drained from the body. Soon, Schuyler, Bliss, and Oliver take it on themselves, as well as Jack Force, a brother of Bliss's friend, Mimi, to find out why the Silver Bloods are attacking, and how to stop them.

This read is extremely excelent, especially for teenage audiences who can relate to the characters.
