The old man did not want to go becausehe had brothers andheheld them. A friend who was the director of a zoo parkoffered him to take care of them if he promised to send wild animal skins hunted in the forest where he would live. So he leftto the country, then hemoved to a forest and fell asleep underneath the trees and palms of the forest, in the mornings he hunted all class of animal he ate and senttheir skins tohis friend of the zoo park, he alsoate fruits. Certain morning he woke up very hungry, he went to a lagoon, inits border hesaw a turtle and a tiger;he approached to them and the tiger sent a strong roarat the time it jumped over the man, but ashe had an excellent aim, he shot toit with the gun in the middle of the skull of the poor tiger, then he thought he would eat the giant turtle. Whenhe came closer tothe turtle he sawit alreadyhad a wound in the neck andthe head was very outside of the shell. The man felt sorryhimself aboutthe turtle and instead of eating it he cured it andhe helped itto heal using first-aid bandage, givingit water and food. When it healed it was very thankful with the man and it was then when the man got sick with a very high temperature. The turtle in gratefulness form decided to accompanyhim and to curehim untilhe recovers; ittakes care ofhim,it made him drinking water and eating fruits and the turtle found. In spite of this the mankept withthe high temperatureand hallucinated with his brothers, and the citywhere he lived, saying thatjust inhis town he would cure himself. Suddenly a morning he recovered and saw the turtle, hethought it was a coincidence, but he saidif he got ill it again he would die becausein the city is the only place wherethey have medicines to cure him. Indeed, in afternoon he got ill with a fever andhe had hallucinations in whichhe saidhe would die because therewere no the medicines that there are in the city to cure him. So the giant turtle that had not gone away decided to take him tiedon its shell to the city so thathe could recover. It began the journey that never had done butit would not stop it, and determined it began to walkthrough the forest. It crossed alltype of fields, rivers, etc. The manamong thehallucinations did not feel thetrip and continued saying that he would die becausehe was not in the city, then the turtlemade a big effort to increase its speed, it almost did not stop to rest neither to eat nor to drink water. One night it was tired so it stopped to drink andto eat something, and it followed on its way but it was still tired, some meters later it stopped because it felt it could no longer, it lamented itself saying that man who had savedits life was going to die becauseit could not takehim to the city. When a mouse that passed by cheated the turtle sayingthe city was just a few metersfrom a small hill, then the turtle ran, how can a turtledo it, it was content and revitalized with the man on the shell. Incredible but the turtleachieved to cross three hundred miles. Suddenly the director of the zoo parkrecognized his friend and obtained the remedies and he cured him. When he knew who had takenhim to the city, he felt affected, andhe became the best friend of the turtle that now lives in the zoo parkof Buenos Aireswhere he is going to visit it allafternoons while theytake a walk.
