Whatever be the type or size of the organization, everyone wants that it should be highly successful, productive & profitable, with good relations between the employees of the organization. However, with any status position, there is always some scope for improvement & a lot depends on the leader of the organization & his management skills. A leader's aim is always improvement & continuous improvement. If some data collection, status assessment, survey, analysis & action(s) for the organization, can be taken in a routine manner, & not as a serious measure, the things will improve in a better way.
This book provides, fifty small-time-consuming simple activities, for the management to improve things in the organization.These activities can be performed at places of work, meetings & training etc., & are aimed at improving management skills, along with better human relations in the total organization. These are expected to improve the performance of the employees, through the all important motivating factor of self-actualization. Every one wants to learn new things & new skills. Learning is a life-long process. Such games, add fun to such learning process. One of the games is "The 10 minute solution", in which, in a ten minute meeting, every employee comes up with at least one idea, which if implemented, will improve the individual &/or group productivity in the organization substantially. These ideas should be discussed, & the employees should be willing to make a commitment, at least for some time. The employees should then implement their ideas, monitor the progress & report in the next meeting. Based on the discussions, the actions could be revised or continued or changed to a new activity. In this manner, overall improvements can be achieved.
