The Alchemist

This story is about an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who travels from his homeland in Spain to the Egyptian desert in search of a treasure buried in the Pyramids. Along the way he meets a Gypsy woman, a man(king), and an alchemist all of whom point Santiago in the direction of his quest. No one knows what is the treasure all about and where it is and whether Santiago would be able to find it. Even Santiago was not clear about his goal and capability of being able to fulfill his dream of finding treasure. Many times he decided to give up and lead back to home where he could be at peace among the people who were his friends and relatives. but he kept on going inspite of many difficulties. But what starts out as a journey to find wordly goods turns into a discovery of the treasures found within. He has seen the world, met many different people, learnt lots of new things which made him wiser during his journey for treasure. He realised that no matter how impossible or big one's dream is, it is never late to work towards fullfilling the dream. and one day you will realize that you have found treasure in the form of wisdom, skills, friends, love and a pleaure of self achievement. A really inspiring story which provides fuel to the people who dream but afraid or hesitant in working towards it for one or other reason. Its never too late, YOU CAN DO IT!
