Resumo de Christmas Tidings

Christmas time in the Smiths household was normally a time where all the family got together as living so far away from each other they never normally met up much. Parents George and Mary lived in an old people bungalow in Manchester. They were both in their seventies and they had four children together. They married when they were thirty . They had both been married before . Both partners had died suddenly. George and his first wife had three children and Mary just had the one daughter. They too had grandchildren. With having young children Christmas was a happy occassion but this year it was sad. Three children of their had both got divorced from their husband/wife so they shared where the children spent chistmas . . Last year they spent christmas with their mum and dad as they were together but as they seperated after christmas at the start of the year they had to sort it out . With the children being so young it was still so upsetting as they found it hard to get use to not seening either their mum/dad together as a important time in the year. They heared children at school talking about their parents and how they were going to be spending christmas together as a family . So they were often in tears and who ever they lived with often had to be brought in and they sometimes they had to be brought in. In time they would get use to it but it was still so raw . This being the first christmas not together. As well as it being hard for the children it was also so hard for their mum/dad as most of their friends had partners and they hated being alone . The grandparents George and Mary often helped their sons/daughters out on many occassions with baysitting when their children needed them. The reason being their ex son in law/ daughter in law had all moved away as they did not like being face with seeing their ex every day as they were unable to face it. With the ex daughter in law they moved nearer their parents and the ex son in law moved nearer his parents. Even those all this had happened this year all this misery some of their children were still with their partners and had children so they were all happy so they had to put on a brave face for the children and the grandchildren as christmas was really for them.
