The purpose of my experiment is to see which iron nail would rust faster in salt or fresh water better. The iron nails were tested in my room. I placed each nail in a see through plastic cup and timed it as i waited for it to rust. Every fifteen minutes i checked to see if the iron nails rusted.I had to checkto see thatboth had the same amount of water. Both tables has to be the same height so that the plastic cups with the iron nails in it do not tilt over.
Things that were needed in the experimentwas a timer, plastic cups, iron nails, measuring cup, two tables that had to be the same height. As i was doing the experiment i had found out that the iron nails rusted in the salt water in the first experiment. Idid it a second timewith different cups and iron nails and the iron nails rusted in fresh water better. So since itwas a tie I had to doit a third time and the salt water rusted better.
