Eleven Minutes, written by Paulo Coelho is a literal journey of a young woman and slightly older man both in search of themselves and their individual sexuality. Their intense meeting at a coffee shop provoked a curiosity that would lead the two off kilter souls to share with one another their own beliefs and experiences of love and sex discovered through each of their own lives and careers. Maria, a learned cynic of love, also in search of fame and fortune finds her self wrapped up in the profession of prostitution where, through much self assessment, she finds herself becoming closer to her own moral definitions of money, sex and love. Her revelations and thoughts are jotted down in her own personal diary where you can hear her voice growing into a strong intelligent woman. Ralf, a successful artist, is sharing a story of lost sexual desire and hope for true love. He is intrigued by Maria the moment he saw her in the coffee shop. He paints a picture of her and focuses on her glow. Maria and Ralf are able to connect mentally and physically where through many interactions they are able to bring out each others inner light. Maria, in a not so socially accepted way, has practically mastered the technique of fulfilling a man's need for sexual desire and is able to help Ralf's desires come back to life. Ralf perceives Maria as a very unique, glowing woman who eventually is able to be the living proof that love actually does exist. Their story is a reflection of sharing one soul's gifts to another, bringing each other alive and awakening love that they once did not know existed. A love story between to humans who happened to meet at the right moment in time, proving humanity may be the most sacred gift to share.
