i had the pleasure of reading one of the best books of our times, eleven minutes by paulo coelho.
the book explains the essence of love in such a passionate simplistic manner that the reader needs to take a moment to feel everything he has read. the book not only guides us to chase our dreams but also to follow our heart.
the female protagnist decides to leave her town for a better future, though she has a proposal from her boss which assures her a safe future but it will also cause her to become stagnant in that life.so she risks her safe future for a better future in order to find a better happier self. her risk doesnt pay off exactly at first coz she ends up becoming a prostitute in order to survive and one day may be able to go back to her town.this sad and unfortunate instance actually comes out to be a blessing in disguise coz it is during this period of being a prostitue that she explores her real self. she is shown to be highy professional in her job even though it is deeming to others eyes and sometimes even to her.
in this journey of being with a new man every night she slowly starts to discover herself. then one day she bumps into a pianter. there is an instant connection but both of them know if they rush into anything it will become lust and would be short lived or maybe its just a game they play to seduce each other and to see who weakens first not realizing that it is they themselves who are loosing themselves. in a very intresting twist she meets a new man who experiments with her sexual experience.it is thruough this experience that she realizes her passion for love. then on the last night of her as a prostitute she meets the painter and they for the first and knowing that it maybe their last.
the next day she takes her flight to her home not hoping but knowing that her true love will come to get her maybe it is this confidence in her passion and belief that she boards her flight, but sadly no one comes still she belives that her love if true will reach its end and it does her lover(painter) meets her at her hault and she knows that now she would never need to look back and doubt her future.
