Pippi Lonstocking is a happy and lively young orphan. Her father was a pirate and the where abouts of her mother were not explained. Pippi is notorious for having freckles and red hair braided straight out into the air. She has two friends Tommy and Annika as well as a monkey named Mr.Neilson and a horse. She is a herione that thinks not only of her friends happiness but also strangers. She seems to almost be oblivious to some of the things that occur throughout her world. However as soon as you think she will waiver she suddenly suprises you with a heroic deed.
For example in the book she rescues some children from a buring building and she always thinks of others before she thinks about herself. She looks at the world in a very unique way. She sees the happiness before she sees the bad in people and that is important for people sometimes to realize. Her animal friends seem to add even more amusement to this book, her monkey and horse are such a wierd combination together but Pippi treats them as if they were just like any other house pets. Pippi dressses so bazarrily and behaves so oddly many adults find her to be so much trouble. Her mood is very care-free and jovial and many adults in the book find it to be unruly.
Pippi even tries to go to school with Tommy and Annika, she insist that she knows everything there is to know about the world. She wares the teachers patience out and before the cops can get ahold of her antics she finds a way to out smart them. Pippi Longstocking his a tride and true gal who in some ways identifies with some part of peoples personalities.
