(Bob Cullen)

Publicidade
This story is all about a professional golfer and his caddy. In the beginning the golfer and his caddy argue and split up, right near the end of a major competition. At the end of that competition the golfer Bobby Joe is struck by lightning and becomes blind.

The story continues now from the caddy?s point of view and how he spends the next part of his life unemployed. However he is surprised when a year later Bobby Joe contacts him again with a crazy idea to learn to play golf again, all part of his rehabilitation.

From here the story continues showing the strains of two different personalities that slowly grows into a friendship, the novel also talks much about the way of the blind to cope. The story struggles around the trials and difficulties of Bobby Joe as a blind golfer to relearn the game and also gain recognition among professional golfers again.
Also the golfer has to come to terms with his somewhat obnoxious personalities that makes it hard for others to come close to him, as well as some bad life choices that hinder his return to golf.

Eventually he gets to play among professional golfers again after much help from various characters and also after a few setbacks along the way. His return to fame as a golfer in the end also helps the caddy out, who was suffering from financial difficulties.

In general this is a well-written story that even non-golf lovers should be able to enjoy, there is also a minor romance on the side for the caddy that can add to the interest of the story for some readers. Bobby Joe has a blind therapist who just happens to be an attractive young women.
