Live 8 Concert

I would just like to comment on the concert that was produced by Bob Geldof on July 2nd 2005, LIVE 8. I watched the whole thing and thought it was fantastic. The meaning behind it was well thought out and got to the audience perfectly, lets get rid of the debt in Africa they need aid and our help not our hinderance. Did you see the pictures all the people that are starving and need food and clean water (just the basic needs). We in our G8 countries take everything for granted, imagine yourself being there, Imagine yourself not knowing where your next meal is coming from. Not being able to send your child to school just praying that they make it to the age of five years old. Imagine being a child not knowing if your mother and father are going to live and be able to look after you, will it be your grandparents taking care of you. So to all the leaders of the eight countries that are in Edinburgh, Scotland, having your little meeting take in to account the despair that is going on in Africa and lets take some action as the saying goes€TION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS. Think about the people for a change they need our help, we need to make poverty history. Every three seconds a child dies of starvation or HIV aids, If 50.000 people died in Canada, USA or Japan do you think the leaders would notice and do something about it I think so, its to close to home then. Just because they are in a different continent doesn't mean they are not important. Lets make the world a better place, let me and others tell our children that yes there was poverty back then, but not any more we got rid of it our leaders had a heart. If and its a pretty big if the leaders don't vote to get rid of the debt they better pray and go into hiding because the world is involved. They have largest pertition ever in the world which Bob Geldof will present to the leaders at the G8 summit, and if they don't take action there will be a revolt against the leaders they won't be able to go back to there countries.
