??Medallions??Medallions? were written by Zofia Na?kowska. This book consists of seven parts. Each of them describes the part of ferocious reality. The author describes human mentality, nasty recollections, breathtaking events, mental and physical suffering. Na?kowska presents sadistic and subtle killers who devise cruel manners of mistreatment. The occupation proved that people are capable of absolute atrocities. ?Medallions? are supposed to depict the immensity of war crimes and simultaneously pay tribute to fascism?s fatalities. The begining there is a description of the ?Institute?s? activity and witnesses? relations. Researches find slaughtered corpses, cauldrons, that are full of blood, concocted bones and bars of soap made of human fat. Especially lurid is the worker?s testimony. He is delighted with an immoral activity of the factory. There is also an afterthought over human?s fear. During a ?transport? there is an injured woman. Even so, nobody plucks up courage to help her. The author proves that by Virtue of intimidation, solidarity unfortunately tails off. So where is the sense of the saying: ?Faint heart never won fair lady?? Another thing that depicts horror among people is an extremely brutal conditions of Warsaw ghetto. Here people are impotent . Murders are accomplished even on children. We also get to know the history of Buunzing and Ravensbruck which is connected with cannibalism among prisoners. Because of blank despair they are dead ser against themeselves. There is one more fancy method of ill-treatment ? ?Visa?. It?s unbelievable. Women are bullied to stand without clothes on the cold.Their posture is extremely touching. But the most startling is the narration ? ?Adults and children in O?wi?cim?. Their psyche is crippled. They are made to observe an inhuman vidence. They even aren?t able to distingnish between good and evil. I find in this book quite difficult to understand. Even so, thanks to it I knew what that the human race betrayed itselfs. Unfortunately moral warrants and models of beauty didn?t come up to our expectations. These narrations encourage people to contemplate. Tehy should think about human natureand it?s abilities to commit a terrifying crime.
