attractionfor none other than Hill House! The dark forces of this house have compelled her to first visit, and
in her minds eye she has become to believe she is actually apart of this sinister house. The voices compelling her to give up her very soul so to speak to become as 'ONE'. She is tormented in her mind of going back to her lonely and ordinary life that contained no real of anything...just an ordinary existance. But, here in Hill House, she has finally found her place, like she has come home. When the doors opened, and she entered, the voices greeted her, she felt a presence at the nape of her neck. The human man spoke, but she could only hearsomething from another time and place come sweeping into her mind. She felt a chill...but oddly she was not afraid. The other humans watched her in odd concern.She finally spoke and extended her hand, she didn't want them to think she was crazy or something!! Everybody exchanged names and were welcomed by a strange butler or caretaker, the ice was broken. She realized her thinking must be from lack of food for so many hours...she laughed out loud, how strange, how strange....The caretaker looked in her direction, hespoke in a matter of fact tone explaining about rooms and dinner would be served, ect...But his eyes were so dark and even cold. She had to look away.. Finally the invited guests introduced each other and found their bedrooms. She just adored her room. The house was centries old...but it came alive for her. She sat on her bed and just listened. They (whoever they are wanted her to do something)....she became very tired and laid down after this ordeal...just a short nap before dinner. She had never felt such a need to sleep...going, falling and being emersed in another world. If she could only stay here forever....nothing mattered,nothing!!
