One of the young men, Rand Al'Thor, will become the Dragon Reborn, born to weild the tainted male half of the One Power, and save the world from utter destruction and desolation. Matt Cauthon, a known trouble maker, has his own adventure and battles with death, to save his life and his soul from evil powers. And Perrin Ayberra, destined to run with wolves, a long lost trait from before the Age of Legends. The two women, bound off to the white tower to learn to become Aes Sedai. All taken one eventful night from their village to save it and become something more than even they could have dreamed. In the first book the characters take thier first adventure into the saving of the world. They must find the "Green Man" at the "Eye of the World" the Trolloc infested blight to save the world from the Dark Ones vileness spread across the world.This is the first book in the yet unfinished series. A must for anyone intersted in Science Fiction Fantasy. Each new book introduces new characters and new adventures, and once you get through the first one, you'll be so engrossed that you will want to continue theentire series to see what happens next to our heroes and heriones as they face the next plan of the Dark One to take over thier world.
