Of course a lot has been said and talked about this book, and the book actually lives upto its controversial image by the sublime writing and research of Dan Brown. Though I am not a party to believe that Jesus had a family yet the manner in which the whole plot goes its simply bombastic. With each page you turn you tend to believe what the writer is taking you through as he has done the home work well before writing ostracized piece. It takes us through the history of the paintings by Da Vinci and what?s hidden beneath the brush apart from what?s visible. Meanings are attached, clans and their handiworks proclaimed to drive home a point that Jesus had a secret family. Carefully the past is woven with the present with the characters so alive that you would gleefully wanna see the end with your own eyes. There is a lot of suspense that makes you hold on to the book like a baboon to a tree. Well read it for the sheer pleasure of reading and excitement. But the regular Church goers may find it pretty offensive as it?s a story which though has a fictitious background is set as if it?s a true one. The clan or Priory and its rituals described as the author proclaims actually exists, thus there are a lot of areas of complete disagreements with what the author has written about. The Christians who hold the papal system in great awe might not want to buy what the author has to sell and instead of each page being exiting it can be disapproving to the core. This is the only book which I have read which cannot be judged as good or bad in content. It entirely depends on who reads and how he takes it. I can bet on one thing for sure; the book is more exiting than the movie.
