Little Women
(Louisa May Alcott)
Little women is one of my all time favourites. I read it at ten and fell in love with it and through the years I've been going back to it. Visiting the world of four sisters who seemed to be most of all sisters and real people. It is a true story, the author - Louisa May Alcott is the second of the four sisters and narrates the story as Josephine. Having no sisters myself, it made me live my childhood with the idea of what having a sister was like. As I got older, it gave a meaning to what love is and the importance of family. Even now, reading the book for the 36th time, I cry when I learn that Meg died or that Amy, Jo's little sister married Jo's childhood friend and sweetheart in the end. Some books are categorised as litterature, romance, trashy books, erotic books... Little Women brings about the best of these words - each time it is read, it gives something back... It feeds your mind, your heart, your soul.
