MAN IS THE MEASURE OF ALL THINGS
An honest MAN is one who will manifest unbending integrity. Deceitful weights and false balances, with which many seek to advance their interest in the world, are abomination in the sight of God. Yet many who profess to keep the commandments of God are dealing with false weights and false balances. When a man is indeed connected with God and is keeping His law in truth, his life will redeal the fact; for all his action will be in harmony with the teachings of God. He will not sell his honor for gain. His principles are built upon the sure foundation, and his conduct is worldly matters is a transcript of his principles. Firm integrity shines forth as gold amid the dross and rubbish of the world. Deceit, falsehood, and unfaithfulness may be glossed our hidden from the eyes of man, but not from the eyes of God.
In the word of God, who enter heaven must have a perfect character, for then they will meet their Lord in peace. Many children and youth have their characters imprinted on their countenances. Their life?s history they carry in the features of the face. The true workers should impress upon the minds of the children a beautiful, pure, Christ like character which will transfigure the countenance.
If God is the abiding principle in the heart, you may read purity, refinement, peace and love in the features. In other countenance, an evil character hangs out the sign, selfishness, cunning, deceit; falsehood, enmity, and jealousy are expressed there.
God is the source of our strength. He is the vine, we are the branches. We must receive nourishment from the living Vine. Deprived of the strength and nourishment of that vine, we are as members of the body without head and are in the very position which Satan wishes us to be in, that he may control us as please himself. He works ?with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved.
