Matilda

Matilda is a delightful book about an extraordinary family of four with somewhat twisted values. The father is over bearing and abrupt in his approach to parenting, the mother has little to no nurturing characteristics and the little boy is a spoiled brat but doted on because he most like their father. The little girl Matilda is a genius who also processes magical powers that the family never knows she posses. Matilda uses her powers to try to right many wrongs; things that are lacking in her family unit. She finally goes to school and begins to use her hidden talent right even more wrongs. Eventually she gets the delightful life she wanted and deserves. My little girl loved this book and I must admit the storyline was a treat for me too. If you are looking for light reading that will make you smile. Try this book.
