The book was written by her mother it tells the hardships she faced before the shooting. She and her friends had gotten involved in drugs and alcohol, they were depressed and suicidal and were plotting to kill there parents and teachers and they were also involved in witchcraft. It seemed that Cassi was heading down the same path as her shooters and then her parents found out what was happening. They kept her away from her friends and put her into the church youth group. Cassie changed her ways and when the shooters asked her if she believed in god she said yes and then they shot her and she died.
