The adventure of young Sherlock Holmes is a high voltage thriller set in the background of the younger days of Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes is 16 years old and the days in the school described by the author Arthur Conan Doyle just put up a clear picturization of the younger days of Sherlock Holmes. This is the school where the actual "profession" of Sherlock Holmes opens up. His quest to solve any strange happenings right from his schooling days form the backdrop of his profession that gains him a big fame in the days to come. This is the school where young Sherlock Holmes meets his life long friend Watson. Watson is a short spectacled and a clever student in the school. His meeting of Sherlock Holmes begins a turning point in his career. Not only is he unable to concentrate on his studies but also is frequently alerted by the mischieves by his friend Sherlock Holmes. As is common in every story to introduce a heroine for every hero of a story, so is this with this story too. Enter the beautiful Elizabeth, the heroine of our story; the story has an unexpected twist. The three, Sherlock Holmes, Watson and Elizabeth are immersed in strange circumstances. With the death of the professor Waxflatter dies, Holmes with his deductive abilities spots out foul play. Prattling around Holmes figures out a chain of murder (including that of his friend Waxflatter) with the victims being of British origin by an Egyptian cult "Rame Tep", moves to stop it. Holmes and his friends find themselves in the dark streets of Unvisited London, the area resembling much of Arabia. Armed with only a blow pipe recovered at the scene of crime they stumble upon finding the temple of the cult with all kinds Egyptian rituals of the long past going in it. They are chased by the cult members and are assaulted by blowpipes and the assaults lead them to hallucinations. Piecing together the final words of Waxflatter "Eh-Tar", Holmes finds that Elizabeth is in danger as the cult prepares the altar for the sacrifice of an young girl and is none else but Elizabeth herself. Holmes is bound with the duty of saving his sweetheart. The climax is really thrilling and keeps the readers stumbled upon the thought as to what is going to happen next. The Adventures of young Sherlock Holmes is really a high voltage thriller and the weird incidents of the story are so cleverly pieced together that they present a horrifying picture in the minds of the readers. Indeed Arthur Conan Doyle has established his mastery in narrating a mystery in a very interesting way
